Privacy
This is a test build. Here is what it stores.
When you map a store
Shelf photos are sent to Google's Gemini model through our server to read product names. We keep those photos, the model's answers, the finished store map and a log of the walk so we can check and improve the map. Small product pictures cut from the shelf photos are part of the map that other people download. Full-resolution walks are uploaded only when you choose to, and faces are blurred on the phone first.
When you look for a product
Your camera is used on the phone to work out where you are. Camera frames are not sent anywhere unless you turn on Share positioning frames in Settings to help us improve positioning. If you allow location, an approximate location is sent to sort nearby stores and is not stored.
Usage and crashes
The app sends usage events (searches, guidance steps, how long positioning took), crash reports and, if you tap Send diagnostics, a diagnostics file. They carry a random install id, not your name or account.
Questions: contact the person who invited you to the test.
